Log-Safe Inc., founded by Mark Standley in March of 1987, specializes in logging safety. Services include job site inspections, helping to develop and implement company safety and health programs, employee and supervisor training. Also educating employees about what the logging rules are and what the intent of the rule is. This makes standards easier to comply with. Mark successfully provides safety services to a minimum of twenty-five contract logging companies. Mark meets regularly with logging contractors and their employees when conducting safety meetings.
     Accident investigation is a vital part of what Mark does, reviewing near misses and accidents will help to reduce the reoccurrence of that type of accident happening on their job. Conducting job site inspections and providing essential training of employees and supervisors reduces accidents and thus lowering workers compensation costs.
Mark also has provided help with litigation for any citations that are issued as a result of OR-OSHA inspections. Additional responsibilities: Medic First Aid Instructor, president of the Clatsop County Safety Council, member of the OR-OSHA Logging Advisory Committee, as a member of the Logging Advisory Committee, Mark is able to gather input about current and proposed rules to take back to the committee for them to review.
